Hixson is seeking a Senior Mechanical Project Engineer with advanced expertise in HVAC and hydronic heating/cooling systems for large-scale industrial and commercial facility projects
. Join a collaborative, integrated team of architects, engineers, and project managers delivering innovative solutions on projects up to $500 million for nationally recognized clients.

Responsibilities

As a Senior Mechanical Project Engineer, you will:

• Lead mechanical engineering design for critical process air handling systems (GMP), laboratory air handling systems, ductwork, and hydronic systems (chillers, steam boilers, hot water boilers, cooling towers).
• Collaborate across disciplines to deliver coordinated, high-quality solutions.
• Prepare and review construction documents
  , specifications
  , and budget estimates
  .
• Provide technical mentorship to junior engineers and guide best practices.
• Interface directly with clients and internal project teams.
• Ensure compliance with applicable codes, standards, and client requirements.
• Participate in the design and integration of mechanical utilities and plumbing systems
  .

• BSME, BSMET, BSAE or related degree required
• Professional Engineer (PE) license required
• 20+ years of hands-on design experience in HVAC systems, process cooling/heating, and mechanical utilities
• Proven experience in boiler and chiller central plant design
• Strong understanding of HVAC controls systems and integration
• Proficiency in Revit required
