SSOE is seeking an experienced Senior Electrical Designer for a variety of building design-related projects. The ideal candidate will have familiarity with healthcare, educational, and/or commercial facilities.

Responsibilities- Responsible for producing technical project plans, specifications, drawings, and models that meet our specifications and client needs.
- Perform all appropriate calculations (e.g., distribution panel loading, short circuit, voltage drop, conduit & conductor size, and cable tray fill) required for the electrical design packages and verify all applicable codes have been incorporated.
- Apply standard design techniques and procedures and exercise judgment in making minor adaptations and modifications to design concepts. Ensure quality control by complying with company and team design and CAD standards.
- Work with other designers, Electrical Engineers, Project Managers, and other stakeholders on specific assigned objectives, complex features, and aid in deriving possible solutions to unusual problems.
- Coordinate designs and develop an understanding with other design disciplines (Mechanical, Structural, Process/Chemical, Architectural, etc.) for design package needs.
- Perform field verifications/site walks to identify, verify, resolve, and incorporate solutions into design packages. May troubleshoot design problems in the field during construction.
- Competitive Salary: $100,000- $145,000/year depending on location, education, experience, and certifications.

- High school diploma or GED is required. An Associate degree in the engineering or architectural field is preferred.
- Minimum fifteen (15) years of experience as a designer or nineteen (19) years with former employers.
- Experience working with AutoCAD and Revit is required. Experience with Navisworks and/or Easy Power is a plus.
- Knowledge of the National Electrical Code (NEC).
