Position: Senior Systems Engineer / Orbit Analyst

Senior Systems Engineer / Orbit Analyst

We are seeking a Senior Systems Engineer with orbital analysis experience to support the development of satellite operations solutions. This is a mostly remote position with occasional onsite requirements in Boulder, CO.

Base Pay

$95,000.00 - $ per year

Responsibilities
  • Configure ODTK and Astrogator to enable operators to:
    • Perform orbit determination, ephemeris generation, orbital position uncertainty estimates, and collision avoidance analysis
    • Generate orbit maneuver plans for orbit maintenance and collision avoidance
    • Generate simulations to validate accuracy of various orbital simulations and orbit determination techniques
  • Participate in all development life‑cycle phases: requirements, design, documentation, testing, and deployment
  • Collaborate with prime contractor and government leads to ensure consistent and valid system and interface requirements
  • Write scripts for automation and integration of orbit analysis functions
  • Engage customers for product demonstrations and analysis products and effectively communicate results
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Aerospace Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field
  • 4–8 years of related experience
  • 2+ years with requirements development
  • 2+ years with test development
  • Experience with Agile software development
  • Experience in automated testing
  • Active Top Secret clearance with SCI eligibility
  • Demonstrated experience with orbit determination, astrodynamics techniques and operations
  • Familiarity with standard astrodynamics tools including ODTK and STK/Astrogator
  • Exceptional analytical and problem‑solving skills
  • Strong organization, decision‑making, verbal and written communication skills
  • Self‑initiative and ability to work independently
  • Effective teamwork in small teams for complex problems
Pay Transparency

The salary offered will be based on the selected candidate’s qualifications, skills, education & experience – range $95,000 to $145,000.
