Mechanical Design Engineer

Mechanical Engineer – Engine Installation and Cooling

Base pay range: $27.00/hr - $29.00/hr

• Research, design, develop, manufacture, and test tools, engines, and machine components.
• Analyze customer design proposals and specifications to determine feasibility, time, and cost.
• Investigate equipment failures, diagnose root causes, and recommend corrective actions to maintenance crews.
• Assist drafters in developing structural designs of products using tools, equipment, and software.
• Collaborate with electrical, light structure, and other system teams to integrate engine and cooling installations.

• 0-2 years of experience in mechanical engineering, manufacturing engineering, design engineering, or quality engineering.
• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or Engineering Technology.
• Proficiency with Creo (Pro/E) modeling and simulation tools (or equivalent).
• Strong analytical, problem‑solving, and communication skills.
• Team player with attention to detail and ability to manage multiple projects.
• Knowledge of engineering processes, drawing standards, and specifications.

• Read and interpret engineering drawings, schematics, and technical reports.
• Experience with problem solving – root cause determination, troubleshooting, and concept generation.
• Ability to perform Creo Simulate analysis (or equivalent).
• Familiarity with Team Center or equivalent release workflow tools.

• Creativity and verbal and written communication abilities.
• Presentation experience – create and present stakeholder updates.
• Independent work with strong time‑management skills.
• Detail oriented and collaborative cross‑functional teamwork.
