Electrical Engineer
We are seeking an Electrical Engineer to join our team in South Florida. The successful candidate will support electrical design for municipal water and wastewater system‑related projects.
Responsibilities- Function as the Designer/Project Engineer on projects involving medium and low voltage power distribution systems, lighting systems, and grounding systems for Municipal Water and Wastewater facilities and Industrial Projects using recognized industry standards and specifications.
- Develop design details for electrical power distribution systems (480V level), lighting systems, and control systems for major industrial facilities using recognized industry standards and specifications.
- Perform system calculations and studies for electrical power systems, including load flows, voltage drops, and short circuit/coordination studies using electrical analytical software such as E‑Tap or SKM Tools.
- Coordinate with CAD Drafters to create new or modify existing drawings.
- Perform field investigation and condition assessment of electrical power distribution and control equipment.
- Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering (BSEE).
- 3+ years of design and engineering experience in building projects, including electrical power distribution in industrial or complex commercial projects.
- Proficiency in electrical design, control equipment, and condition assessment.
- Experience with medium and low voltage systems, lighting, grounding, municipal systems, load flow, voltage drop, and short circuit analysis.
- Proficient in using E‑Tap and SKM Tools for power distribution and control system analysis.
Skills & Qualifications
- Working knowledge of standards and codes related to electrical distribution and control systems.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD, Microsoft Word, and Excel.
- Preliminary knowledge of instrumentation devices (level/pressure/temp/flow) is preferred.
- Effective communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to communicate with supervisors, colleagues, and clients.
- Bilingual in English and Spanish is a plus.
- Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills.
Our work environment is casual and informal, valuing great people and providing them the freedom to complete their jobs while offering any necessary support. The company is flexible with hours for production positions. The Ft. Lauderdale office has 6 employees, and you must be in the office four days a week, with the option to work from home on Fridays. You will be required to attend meetings in the Tri‑County Area, potentially once or twice a month in person.

Pay And BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $40.00 – $48.08/hr eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
