Position

Senior Electrical Engineering Project Manager

The Griffin Groupe is seeking a Senior Engineering Project Manager (EXPERIENCED ELECTRICAL ENGINEERS) for our client company to provide leadership and technical expertise to our Facilities and Construction Engineering Practice. The ideal candidate will provide the electrical group’s strategic vision, manage and engage the electrical staff, ensure delivery of exceptional quality projects and services to our client company’s clients, and lead the growth and development of the Electrical Group within the Facilities and Construction Engineering Practice.

Responsibilities
  • Design/bid/build and design/build projects about preparing designs, plans, specifications, and cost estimates for low and medium voltage switch gear and distribution systems; lighting and general power; fire alarm, closed circuit television, intrusion detection, and communication systems.
  • Scheduling as well as tracking budgets between multiple disciplines and client contacts.
  • Experience with SKM Power Tools for use with breaker/relay settings, arc fault studies, load flow analysis, and AC and DC fault analysis.
  • Prepare proposals for electrical designs.
  • Lead a team and provide mentoring for other team members.
  • Provide technical support and design direction as needed to project managers and market leads.
  • Perform site surveys and provide construction support on projects as required.
  • Provide contractor coordination for construction management, shop drawing reviews, and punch lists.
  • Knowledge of applicable codes relevant to the job, for example, the National Electrical Code (NEC) and National Fire Protection Association (NFPA) codes.
Requirements
  • 7 - 10 years of experience.
  • Experience working as a consulting engineer.
  • Bachelor of Science (B.S.) degree in Electrical Engineering or a B.S. or M.S. in other Engineering disciplines along with appropriate experience
  • Professional Engineer (P.E.) license desired (or in progress or willing to obtain with support)
  • Experience with industrial power design, including medium (up to 34.5KV and 69KV preferable) and low voltage electrical power distribution, motor control, VFD’s, lighting systems, equipment layout and related activities.
  • Electrical generation design and Net-metering Utility Interconnection Application Process.
  • Experience with SKM power systems software is desirable.
