Electrical and Controls Engineer

Our client is a successful company that provides products to food manufacturers. As long as people will continue to eat, their business is recession proof.

Their location just south of Columbia South Carolina is expanding and in need of an Electrical and Controls Engineer.

• Maintain and Upgrade Facility Wide High / Medium / Low Voltage Systems.
• Provide technical and engineering support and advice to other departments.
• Design Manufacturing Automation and Process Control Systems, including software and graphical (HMI) solutions.
• Maintain all manufacturing controls infrastructure, including networks, hardware software and improvements / changes.

Base salary is expected to be in the $105K to $120K range + bonus and their full suite of corporate benefits. At first, this will be an onsite role, but as you get comfortable with it, this can evolve toward remote work.

• Degree
• 5+ Years of High / Medium / Low voltage power distribution systems design and operations.
• 5+ Years of Factory Automation systems design, including networking, software design and creation, HMI systems implementation and support.
• 5+ years in a continuous manufacturing environment, preferably food or drink manufacturing, supporting and leading manufacturing and maintenance activities.
• Experienced in Hardened Industrial Ethernet networking implementations.
• Experienced in managing and dealing with specialist consultants, technicians and contractors.
• Skills:
  
  Minimum Technical Degree, preferably BSEE. Needs to be creative, flexible and self-motivated.
• Knowledge of Rockwell Automation Plant PAX system.
• Knowledgeable of all applicable local and International Electrical Codes. (NFPA, IEEE etc.)
• Ability to work onsite as a direct employee without needing immigration sponsorship.
