Location: Seattle, WA
Base pay range$/yr - $/yr
Responsibilities- Develop test designs, procedures, and documentation for development, qualification, and acceptance testing based on system-level requirements.
- Build, integrate, and operate test racks incorporating power supplies, data acquisition, communications, sensors, and control logic.
- Coordinate commissioning of complex hardware systems both in-house and at external test facilities.
- Plan and execute test activities while maintaining schedule alignment with broader program milestones.
- Witness and review supplier acceptance testing and associated documentation.
- Troubleshoot test issues in real time and support resolution of non-conformances.
- Coordinate design, assembly, and commissioning of test and support equipment with internal teams and external partners.
- Perform test data analysis and generate clear, thorough test reports.
- Support continuous improvement of test processes, tooling, and documentation.
Required:
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related discipline.
- 5+ years of relevant test engineering experience.
- Experience working with system requirements, verification, and validation activities.
- Familiarity with environmental testing methods such as vibration, shock, thermal cycling, thermal vacuum, leak testing, and EMI/EMC.
- Working knowledge of control systems and test software (e.g., LabVIEW or similar).
- Hands‑on experience with mechanical and electrical test equipment, tooling, sensors, and instrumentation.
- Experience operating under formal quality systems (AS9100, NQA‑style environments, ISO, or similar).
- Strong troubleshooting and problem‑solving skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Nice to Have:
- Experience in aerospace, energy, nuclear, or other high‑reliability industries.
- Prior work supporting supplier or third‑party test facilities.
- Experience commissioning new test equipment or facilities.
- Background in both electrical and mechanical test environments.
Compensation for this role is expected to fall within a range of approximately $125,000 to $185,000 annually
, with final leveling and pay determined based on a combination of factors.
