Control System Engineer — REMOTE(Location specific — must reside in SoCal or near Orlando, FL)

Location:
Remote work in Southern CA or Orlando, FL with additional pay for local travel!
- Proficient in developing and modifying electrical drawings using CAD tools like Eplan or AutoCAD Electrical
- Understanding of wiring principles for industrial control systems involving power circuits, controls, and signaling devices up to 600
VAC - Expertise in designing and engineering electrical control systems for machinery, including programming and troubleshooting
- Familiarity with PLC Logic from brands like Rockwell, Beckhoff, Siemens, ABB, etc.
- Experience with HMI products such as Factory Talk ME/SE/Optix
- Knowledge of ISO
13849 and Functional Machine Safety standards - Perform on-site programming and troubleshooting for automation equipment like VFDs, Servo Drives, PLCs, HMIs, Sensors, Motors, etc.
- Oversee entire automation project lifecycle
- Skilled in utilizing various automation hardware and software platforms
- Create electrical Bill of Materials and size components for controls enclosures appropriately
- Develop controls architectural designs
- Interpret and annotate electrical schematics as needed
- Communicate effectively and professionally with clients and team members
- 3-5 years of experience in controls engineering
- Degree in Engineering
- Proficiency in PLC & HMI application development
- Team player with strong collaboration skills
- Excellent communication abilities, both written and verbal
- Ability to write detailed service reports
- Experience with low voltage electrical applications (480V and below)
- Familiarity with PLC Programming, HMI Development, VFDs, Motion Control, Industrial Networks, and Sensors
- Capable of fostering strong customer relationships
- Demonstrates initiative, efficient time management, and problem-solving skills
- Comfortable with 15% local and 15% national travel
Base salary range for this position is provided as a reference and may vary based on factors such as experience, education, skills, and market conditions.
