Job Description
At Boeing, we innovate and collaborate to make the world a better place. We’re committed to fostering an environment for every teammate that’s welcoming, respectful and inclusive, with great opportunity for professional growth. Find your future with us.
Boeing Global Services (BGS) is seeking an Experienced
Field Service Representative (FSR) to provide technical support the Saudi AWACS and 707 tanker aircraft at Prince Sultan Air Base, Saudi Arabia
.
In this position you’ll act as a field service representative (FSR) supporting the Royal Saudi Air Force (RSAF) with direct, “over the shoulder”, technical support. The objective of this position is to identify and repair aircraft anomalies and return aircraft to fully mission capable status. The FSR will provide overall air vehicle technical support, guidance and expertise. The FSR will also provide support to troubleshoot, resolve, or assist in the resolution of RSAF AWACS/707 mechanical and structural issues.
The FSR will be expected to address numerous aircraft and support equipment discrepancies. RSAF personnel are expected to be present while issues are being worked, but there is a high likelihood that the FSRs may be asked to help perform "hands‑on" effort to both resolve problems encountered and instruct RSAF personnel.
FSRs are the in‑person Boeing "face" to the customer, so personal appearance (grooming and dress), a helpful and friendly demeanor, and the ability to speak and write in a professional, unambiguous manner while working unsupervised for extended periods of time are paramount.
Working hours will nominally be 5‑days a week (Sun‑Th), 8‑hours per day. Additionally, FSRs must be willing to work flexible hours (i.e. on‑call 24 hours per day, and 7 days per week) as the job requires. Note that approved lodging is approximately 90 to 120 minutes from the work site at Prince Sultan Air Base, but commuting times will be compensated up to two hours each way, daily.
Deployment travel accompanying RSAF personnel within the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia is anticipated.
This is a Long‑Term Assignment to Saudi Arabia for up to 3 years. Relocation/assignment benefits to the international location will be provided. Offers will be contingent upon the candidate’s ability to obtain clearances from International Health Services and the receipt of a visa/work permit for Saudi Arabia. This also applies to any/all family members who may be relocating with the candidate.
You are applying for a Field Operations position where our employees must be willing and able (potentially short notice) to travel to a variety of locations (domestic and/or international) to meet the needs of our customers.
Field Operations employees may be required to relocate to another Field Operations location based on customer needs and/or management requirements.
Specific contracts supported by Field Operations could require employees to perform a deployment to a US DOD contingency operation. Employees associated with these specific contracts must be able to pass military contractor health standards for deployment.
Position Responsibilities- Providing technical guidance in the normal operation and maintenance of the Saudi AWACS/707
- Supplementing local training by providing technical guidance and informal on the job training (OJT) for aircraft and support equipment
- Investigating system and sub‑system issues and analyzing hardware and software issues to determine root cause
- Resolving technical issues dealing with airframe, mission and ground systems, and support equipment.
- A current U.S. passport that expires no sooner than May 2026
- Minimum 2 years hands‑on maintenance experience with AWACS aircraft
- Expertise with AWACS aircraft AND ground support systems (excluding the surveillance radar system)
- Ability to read and interpret drawings, wiring schematics, and maintenance task procedures
