AMT is seeking a Transportation Project Manager with 8‑12 years’ experience for a position in our Towson, Maryland or Rockville, Maryland office. The position is full‑time, and AMT will provide the flexibility and necessary equipment to work from home 2 to 3 days per week, as agreed upon with the Transportation Group Leader.

• Strong time management skills and the ability to balance and prioritize multiple projects
• Identify and resolve project risks and design challenges
• Enjoy building and motivating teams
• Strong written and oral communication skills

• Professional Engineer (PE) in Maryland, Virginia, or Washington DC (Required)
• 8 to 12 years’ experience in roadway, highway, and traffic control plan preparation with past project management experience
• Proficiency with Micro Station/Open Roads and/or AutoCAD/Civil 3D
• Strong written and oral communication skills

• Lead multi‑discipline teams to deliver transportation design projects, with a focus on multi‑modal roadway projects
• Act as liaison between client and project team including external stakeholder agencies
• Manage all technical resources on the project team, including sub‑consultants
• Prepare task proposals and establish project pricing and budgets
• Develop project management plans for assigned projects and prepare monthly progress reports
• Develop and maintain project schedules
• Lead or participate in client meetings and presentations
• Provide quality control reviews of submittals and deliverables
• Mentor and train junior staff
• Assist with production tasks (CADD drawings, reports, graphics / renderings, etc.)
• Assist Group Leader and Division Directors with business development and proposals
• Maintain positive working relationships with co‑workers, project managers, supervisors, and other team members
