Systems Engineer, Software Engineer
Location: FL Hybrid / Travel Required

Our client is seeking a Control Systems Engineer to design, program, commission, and support advanced control and networked systems for Audio, Video, and Lighting installations. This role works across unique, high-profile projects and environments, blending software development, system integration, and hands‑on commissioning. Ideal candidates enjoy solving complex problems, collaborating across disciplines, and bringing intelligent control systems to life.
Responsibilities- Design, program, and commission control and network systems for AV and lighting installations
- Develop custom control logic, equipment drivers, dashboards, GUIs, and monitoring tools
- Lead system testing, validation, documentation, and commissioning efforts
- Configure and support control platforms such as Q‑SYS, Node‑RED, Medialon, Alcorn McBride, and similar
- Support networking setup including VLANs, routing, QoS, IGMP, and system performance monitoring
- Train end users and provide post‑installation technical support
- Manage multiple projects simultaneously while meeting aggressive timelines
- Collaborate closely with engineers, project managers, and field teams
- Travel regularly to support onsite commissioning and system startup
- 2–5 years of experience in AV systems, control programming, or software development
- Experience with AV control platforms and media systems
- Solid understanding of networking concepts and system integration
- Experience developing user interfaces; basic HTML/CSS knowledge preferred
- Strong troubleshooting, communication, and documentation skills
- Comfortable working independently and in fast‑paced, high‑pressure environments
- Willingness to travel approximately 50%
- Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Programming, Electronics, or Entertainment Technology preferred
- Experience with electronic control systems, signal processing, or PLCs a plus
