Base pay range: $34.98/hr - $58.29/hr
Role and Responsibilities- Assemble and test precision components for prototype modules.
- Inspect and monitor material quality throughout the build process.
- Collaborate with engineers and project teams to solve technical challenges.
- Maintain accurate documentation and follow established specifications.
- Handle and prepare materials, tools, and equipment for internal and external distribution.
- Support problem analysis and propose solutions to improve processes.
- Work in both laboratory and cleanroom environments to ensure compliance with cleanliness standards.
- Other duties as assigned.
- Completed secondary vocational education with 5‑10 years of relevant experience.
- Practical and theoretical knowledge of precision mechanics in low‑volume or prototype manufacturing.
- Hands‑on experience with vacuum systems, high‑pressure systems, or similar automated systems.
- Ability to interpret technical requirements, specifications, and documentation.
- Experience in laboratory or prototype manufacturing environments.
- Communicate clearly and collaborate effectively with diverse teams.
- Apply strong analytical and problem‑solving skills to technical challenges.
- Work with precision and attention to detail in complex environments.
- Adapt quickly to changing priorities and new technologies.
- Take initiative and manage tasks independently.

- This position is located on‑site in San Diego, CA. It requires onsite presence to attend in‑person work‑related events, trainings and meetings and to further ensure teamwork, collaboration and innovation.
- A flexible workplace arrangement may be available to employees working in roles conducive to remote work (up to two days a week).
- Routinely required to sit; walk; talk; hear; use hands to keyboard, finger, handle, and feel; stoop, kneel, crouch, twist, reach, and stretch. Occasionally required to move around the campus.
- Occasionally lift and/or move up to 20 pounds.
- Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
- Must be willing to work in a clean room environment, wearing coveralls, hoods, booties, safety glasses and gloves for entire duration of shift.

Compensation & BenefitsThe current base hourly range for this role is $34.98–$58.29. Pay scales are determined by role, level, location and alignment with market data. Individual pay is determined through interviews and an assessment of several factors that are unique to each candidate, including but not limited to job‑related skills, relevant education and experience, certifications and abilities.
