We are searching for an experienced Windows, Active Directory Server, and Server Engineer. This person will work heavily in Active Directory and user migration to other domains. The role requires working independently and as part of a team. We seek a self‑starter who is a critical thinker and problem solver, as these qualities are crucial for the role.
The role involves researching, analyzing, and effectively resolving problems to meet established performance metrics for the Windows platform in a timely manner to support the business. You will collaborate with team members, software vendors, and other technical staff to develop, design, implement, and continuously improve systems.
Key Responsibilities- Provide technical support, configurations, setup, and troubleshooting for a broad range of Windows servers, the Active Directory environment, and related technologies.
- Create and maintain complex Power Shell scripts.
- Maintain documented procedures for Windows Infrastructure.
- Script and code, set up and maintain physical and virtual servers, create and modify GPOs and OUs, DHCP scopes and options, support virtual environments and DNS.
- Support a large environment of Windows Servers, Power Shell scripts, multiple Windows Domains, tools, and applications.
- Day-to-day activities include problem and issue resolution and project work.
- 8+ years’ server experience.
- Associate degree or equivalent education and training.
- Partial onsite and partial work‑at‑home position.
- Windows Server Operating System build configuration and troubleshooting.
- Active Directory Server engineering and related technologies.
- Group Policy creation, editing, and troubleshooting.
- Experience with MCSA, MCSE, VMware, ITIL or similar certifications is an asset.
- Power Shell scripting.
- AD Sites and Services.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Troubleshooting.
- Technical documentation.
- Understanding of VA gaps and remediation.
- Virtual and physical server build, configuration, and cabling.
- Data center maintenance and implementations.
- Knowledge of WSUS, SCCM, Bigfix, PDQ or any patch deployment tool.
- Good communication.
- Power Shell scripting.
- Microsoft Power Automate.
- Server hardware and Windows OS, AD, DNS, DHCP.
- Active Directory: configured and maintained AD, DNS, DHCP, and Group Policy.
- Installed, configured, maintained, and troubleshot Windows Server operating systems.
- Virtualization platforms: VMware and Hyper‑V.
- Server OS installation (Windows Server 2019, 2022, and 2025).
- Hardware: installed, configured, maintained, and troubleshot server hardware from IBM, HP, UCS, Nutanix, and Dell.
- Understanding of VA gaps and remediation.
- Good knowledge of server compliance.
- Storage technologies.
- ADFS.
- Cloud.
- Python.
- PKI/Certificate Server management.
- Other coding languages.
We require some on‑call availability and occasional work during non‑business hours and on weekends. Flexibility in work timing and availability on call for remote engineers are critical aspects of this role.
Salary and Benefits
Base salary range: $90,000 - $120,000 a year, plus incentives aligned with individual and company performance. Benefits include medical, dental, and vision insurance, comprehensive employee assistance program, 401(k) retirement plan, paid time off and holidays.
