General Position Summary
We are seeking a highly motivated Field Application Engineer (FAE) to support our strategic partnership with a global consumer electronics leader. This role will serve as the dedicated technical liaison between the client’s engineering teams and our internal product development organization, ensuring the successful integration of our connector and interconnect solutions into next-generation products.
The ideal candidate will bring strong technical expertise, excellent communication skills, and a customer‑first mindset, with the ability to thrive in a fast‑paced, innovation‑driven environment. Fluency in both English and Japanese is required to effectively support collaboration with the client’s global engineering teams and our Japan‑based manufacturing and engineering partners.
Major Accountabilities- Customer’s project support on all technical aspects – 30%
- Customer support / proposals / technical documentation – 30%
- Lead product development with internal team – 30%
- Project and Program Engineering Reviews – 10%
Education:
Bachelor’s Degree (Engineering, Industrial Distribution preferred) or equivalent technical experience.
Solutions based background in working with customers in developing long‑term customer relationships and partnerships. Proven experience in technical sales or a related field.
Technical SkillsProficiency with CAD tools, simulation environments, and basic electrical/mechanical testing.
Work StyleThis position will be located in Cupertino office, and we do have a hybrid policy for local hires of 30 business days fully in office first, and then 4 days in office and 1 day working from home. This schedule is to be changed at any time per management decision.
