They are a team of professional construction managers, engineers, management consultants, planners, scientists, and surveyors dedicated to delivering outstanding client service.
Due to company growth, they are looking for a Senior Wastewater Process Design Manager to join their Water Team. This position joins their established water team in Washington and Oregon. Preferred candidates are based out of Western Washington/Oregon. However, they will consider exceptional candidates outside of this area who are committed to travel for client connection, mentorship, team integration, and supporting key initiatives.
Key Responsibilities for this position include:
- Project Delivery Oversight
:
Leading the design and development of water and wastewater treatment processes, including biological and advanced treatment technologies. This role includes serving as engineer of record for preliminary engineering studies and planning documents, the development of plans, drawings, and specifications with a primary emphasis on wastewater treatment facilities. Candidates must have experience with process modeling in BioWIN or similar systems, hydraulic modeling and cost estimating.
Additional experience with mechanical process piping design and construction support services would be desirable but is not required. - Project Management
:
Coordinating and managing the design phase of wastewater and water projects, verifying they meet technical specifications, regulatory requirements, quality assurance and client expectations. This task includes developing project scopes and budgets, project scheduling, defining and assigning tasks, providing guidance, and ensuring project deadlines and budgets are met. - Team Leadership and Collaboration
:
Leading a multidisciplinary team of engineers and designers executing water and wastewater related projects, including coordination with civil, mechanical, electrical and structural teams. This may include coordinating with other teaming partners for successful project delivery. Providing technical mentorship to project engineers at various career stages. - Client Interaction: Collaborating with clients to understand their needs, provide updates on project progress, and address any challenges that may arise during work. Providing the experience to lead and participate in client workshops.
Qualifications for this position include:
- Bachelor’s degree in civil or environmental engineering or a related field.
- Professional Engineering License.
- 10+ years of progressive municipal water/wastewater treatment planning, design, and construction support experience.
- Understanding of design software tools for the water industry, including BioWIN, Revit and Civil 3D.
The base salary for this position is $130,000 - $200,000 or commensurate with experience.
