We are seeking an experienced Land Development Project Manager to join our growing Civil team in Connecticut. This newly created position supports increasing project demand and expands our project management capacity across a range of site/civil engineering and land development projects, including multi‑family, education, and multi‑disciplinary developments. This role is well suited for a licensed civil engineer with strong site design experience who enjoys leading projects from concept through permitting and construction support.
The Project Manager will oversee technical design, manage schedules and budgets, mentor staff, and work directly with clients, municipalities, and regulatory agencies to deliver high‑quality projects.
- Managing site/civil engineering projects from initial scoping through design, permitting, and construction support
- Developing project scopes, contracts, schedules, and budgets
- Overseeing and mentoring engineering staff and coordinating multi‑disciplinary team
- Preparing and reviewing site designs including layout, grading, utilities, erosion & sediment control, and site details
- Designing stormwater management systems
- Coordinating with municipal staff and attending Town/City Commission meetings
- Participating in field meetings and site visits
- Assisting with report preparation and local/state permit applications
- Supporting business development efforts and maintaining strong client relationships
- Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering
- 8+ years of relevant site/civil engineering experience with strong site design skills
- Prior project management experience including contracts, QA/QC, scheduling, and staff oversight
- Connecticut Professional Engineer (PE) license preferred
- Experience with local and state permitting requirements
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Experience with AutoCAD and Civil 3D required;
