It is an exciting time to be working for our UK Water business with unprecedented investment in the water industry. We are recruiting a Project Manager to join our Water and Wastewater Team in Edinburgh or Glasgow to lead a range of Engineering and Consultancy projects for a leading UK Water Company and support our expanding portfolio across the UK.
Your role- You will be a practicing Project Manager, working with the wider Networks and Drainage Solutions team. You will be responsible for delivering schemes to budget and programme and be the first point of contact with clients.
- At first you will handle simpler, low‑risk projects with full support as you develop and take on more responsibility.
- Project Management, including managing resources, budgets and programmes and coordinating with other disciplines.
- Liaise with clients to identify and define project requirements, scope and objectives.
- Negotiate and administer change control in accordance with the contract.
- Manage risks through the project life cycle.
- Provide clear and accurate monitoring and reporting of project performance against programme, technical quality, financial and KPI targets, both internally and externally.
- Drive best Project Management practices across the N&DS.
- Experience as a Project Manager or similar role, preferably in the water industry.
- Knowledge of various forms of construction contract, in particular NEC3 or NEC
4. - Experience in leading teams, working across a range of projects, driving best practice, and developing people.
- Demonstrate a proactive and flexible working attitude, adaptable and responsive to challenges.
- Degree in Business Administration, Management, Environmental Sciences, Civil Engineering or a related field.
