Principal Civil Engineer - Land Development

Role: Principal Civil Engineer - Land Development

Job Type: Permanent

Location: Fareham

Hours
  • 37.5 hours Monday - Friday
  • 7.5-hour days (Core working hours are 10-4)
  • Flexitime within this providing core hours are met.
  • Company bonus with potential to earn 10% of annual salary

We are thrilled to be recruiting for a Principal Civil Engineer - Land Development to join our client in Fareham. Our client is a Fast growing, award winning structural engineering and transport planning consultancy.

As Principal Civil Engineer - Land Development, you will lead the civil design process, ensuring quality, technical excellence, and efficient project delivery across a range of infrastructure projects.

Duties and Responsibilities for a Principal Civil Engineer - Land Development
  • Develop and maintain construction detail databases
  • Check and review drawings for quality and accuracy
  • Produce high-quality civil engineering design drawings
  • Draft construction details and bespoke designs from engineer sketches
  • Support engineers with technical design drawings
  • Ensure all work complies with CAD and client standards
  • Maintain large-scale site drawings and templates
  • Assist with drainage & highway design projects
  • Liaise with developers, architects, and local authorities
  • Follow QMS procedures and support knowledge sharing across teams
About You / Experience required
  • Chartered incorporated or working towards ICE or equivalent
  • Strong leadership and mentoring skills
  • Proficient in AutoCAD, Civil 3D, and relevant design software
  • Excellent communication and project management abilities
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and deliver to deadlines
