We are seeking a highly skilled, experienced, and results-driven Lead Structural Engineer to join our team in a fully remote capacity. This position is open exclusively to candidates residing within the United States, and applications from outside the U.S. will not be considered.
The Lead Structural Engineer will oversee the design, analysis, and management of structural engineering projects, ensuring technical excellence, safety, and compliance with all applicable codes and standards. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong leadership abilities, advanced technical expertise, and the capacity to coordinate with multidisciplinary teams in a remote work environment.
Responsibilities- Lead the structural engineering design, analysis, and review of projects from concept through completion
- Supervise and mentor junior engineers, designers, and drafters
- Ensure compliance with building codes, industry standards, and safety regulations
- Prepare and review detailed structural calculations, plans, and technical documentation
- Coordinate with architects, civil engineers, and other stakeholders to ensure integrated project delivery
- Oversee quality control and assurance processes for structural designs
- Provide technical guidance and problem‑solving for complex structural challenges
- Participate in client meetings, project reviews, and presentations to provide expert input
- Maintain project schedules, budgets, and documentation for regulatory submissions
- Bachelor or Master’s degree in Civil or Structural Engineering
- Licensed Professional Engineer (PE) in the United States
- Proven experience as a Structural Engineer with progressive leadership responsibilities
- Proficiency in structural design software (e.g., ETABS, SAP
2000, RISA, STAAD.Pro) - Strong knowledge of U.S. building codes, standards (IBC, AISC, ACI, ASCE), and safety regulations
- Excellent analytical, technical, and problem‑solving skills
- Strong leadership, mentoring, and team coordination abilities
- Effective communication skills, both written and verbal
- Ability to manage multiple projects in a fully remote environment
- Must reside in the United States and be legally authorized to work in the U.S.
Annual Salary: $110,000 – $140,000 USD, commensurate with experience and qualifications
