Position: REMOTE Structural Designer / Engineer

REMOTE Structural Designer / Engineer

Raleigh, NC, 27601

Direct hire position in Raleigh, NC that is remote but Candidates must reside in the Triangle area, as local project site visits are required.

The salary range for this position is $75,000 to $110,000 per year. However, if you possess additional valuable skill sets that could benefit the enterprise, you may be eligible for higher compensation. We encourage strong technical candidates to apply without hesitation.

seeking a Structural Designer Engineer for construction engineering design firm of homes across North Carolina. This position will not require designer to sign off as the engineer. Specializing in single-family residential projects would ideally including new construction, additions, and renovations-and are currently seeking a Structural Engineer with 3-5 years of experience. Candidates must reside in the Triangle area, as local project site visits are required.

Responsibilities
  • Design and engineer all structural elements of single-family homes-from roof to foundation.
  • Collaborate with clients, builders, designers, and architects to incorporate their vision and preferences into structural plans.
  • Conduct site visits to gather field data, assess conditions or structural issues, develop solutions, and prepare engineering documentation.
  • Perform other related tasks as assigned.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in engineering from an accredited four-year institution.
  • 3-5 years of experience, including familiarity with relevant codes (NCRC, NDS, etc.).
  • Ability to analyze and design with wood, concrete, masonry, and steel.
  • Proficient in reading and producing construction documents, AutoCAD, and CAD standards.
  • Knowledge of home architectural design is a plus.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Structural design and calculations expertise
