CivilRoadway Designer
We have a career opportunity for a Civil Designer to work on various transportation projects with state and local transportation agencies. As Civil Designer, you will perform fundamental analysis, design calculations, design reports, roadway design modeling, coordinate drafting project elements with the design team and many other opportunities to advance your design expertise from start to finish on many types of projects.

This position will be based in any of our following offices - Rapid City, SD, Omaha, NE, Bellevue, NE, Lincoln, NE, Grand Island, NE.
The Impact You Will Have- Compute quantities and demonstrate awareness of relationships
- Review mathematical calculations, organize calculations to be included in the design file, and follow project standards as assigned by the Project Manager
- Establish project goals and milestones, define responsibilities, coordinate resources, and monitor project progress
- Design and model simplistic mill and overall jobs to more complex new and reconstruction projects
- Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering or a related discipline required
- Desire to obtain your E.I.T (desire to obtain P.E. in the future)
- Perform design efforts and plan development for Transportation projects (including roadway, traffic, hydraulics, Erosion Control, etc.)
- Knowledgeable in Microstation, Open Roads Designer and Microsoft Office products
- Ability to work and collaborate in a team environment on challenging projects
- Willingness to be adaptable to office and field project site inspection tasks to support project design.
- Excellent communication skills (verbal and written - e-mails, project memos, reports, etc.)
- Detailed, and organized and thrive in environments that are deadline-driven
