What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):

Take over the commissioning engineering and planning functions for the employer's utility-scale battery storage assets across ISO/RTOs nationwide

Develop and implement site-based commissioning plans for standalone utility-scale battery storage assets

Work cross-functionally with transmission interconnection, asset management, and EPC teams as an SME on all things related to the project commissioning life-cycle

Be a thought leader in the area of SCADA, EMS, and control system hardware/software scoping, technology selection, integration, and testing for high voltage renewable energy or utility systems

Advise Asset Management on post-commissioning issues as projects integrate into the operational portfolio

What is Required (Qualifications):

Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering, Power Engineering, or similar discipline with High Voltage Systems experience

Proven track record of success in multi-faceted commissioning engineering roles focused on high voltage transmission interconnection systems, substations, and switchyards

Intimate understanding of the high voltage components and compliance procedures involved in the commissioning process

Experience leading commissioning engineering initiatives across various energy platforms

Commercial understanding of PPA structures and how they relate to the commissioning process is a plus

How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):

0-2 years of experience in commissioning roles for renewable, utility, or clean energy companies
