Base Pay Range$114,400 /yr – $152,200 /yr
Responsibilities- Resolve in-progress issues, discrepancies, or disputes related to technical interpretation of drawings and specifications; clarify and expedite responses when required.
- Engage with home office engineering, outside engineering firms, and client representatives.
- Provide on-site technical support in interpreting engineering documents, specifications, and drawings, including input to the change‑management process.
- Engage in permitting processes and interact with authorities having jurisdiction (AHJs).
- Work with Design‑Build contractors as their work transitions to the field.
- Communicate effectively with subcontractors to receive and manage key drawings and documents in revision‑controlled manner.
- Ensure revision control for all construction documents.
- Confirm contractors have the latest revisions.
- Manage and communicate timely information related to potential changes in design and installation.
- Maintain field sketch/redline processes for changes.
- Collaborate with Project Controls and Construction regarding field design revisions.
- Act as a technical lead for specification deviations, following approved processes.
- Resolve nonconformities (NCRs) with Field Quality, contractors, and Home Office Engineering.
- Provide mentorship and guidance to junior team members.
- Minimum 10 years of experience in engineering and construction of heavy‑industrial process facilities.
- Basic understanding of construction‑oriented means, methods, codes, and standards.
- Experience interpreting home office engineering documents for construction purposes.
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering or equivalent; includes certified technical training.
- Effective oral and written communication skills.
- Ability to read and understand engineering drawings.
- Field experience supporting construction.
- Experience with heavy industrial process facilities such as life sciences, advanced manufacturing, or data center projects.
