MAU is hiring a Senior Controls Technician for our client in Lexington, KY.

As a Senior Controls Technician, you will support and maintain OT/ICS infrastructure across manufacturing sites, ensuring automation systems run efficiently, safely, and securely. This is a direct-hire opportunity.

Shift Information

  • This is a travel-based role, requiring up to 60% travel
  • Remote work during the remaining 40%
  • Primarily standard hours; however, specific hours may vary based on project and travel needs

Required Education and Experience

  • Associate of Applied Science in Electrical/Electronics, Instrumentation, or Mechatronics with certified training from Rockwell, Siemens, or Cisco and 4 years of relevant experience
  • 5–8 years of experience in controls work and plant support within the consumer products industry
  • Proficiency with:
  • Siemens PCS7 with WinCC, Simatic Batch, Route Control
  • Rockwell PLCs and software
  • ICS Networks:
    Profinet, Ethernet IP, AS-I, IO Link
  • Machine safety controls, SISTEMA
  • OT Networking: switches, VLANs, IP addressing
  • National Electric Code, NFPA
    70B, NFPA
    70E, NFPA
    79

Preferred Education and Experience

  • Cisco Networking experience
  • Rockwell Automation Product Certifications
  • Siemens Product Certifications
  • Project Management Certifications

General Requirements

  • Ability to collaborate across departments and with external vendors
  • Strong diagnostic and troubleshooting skills across hardware and software systems
  • Commitment to continuous learning and professional development

Essential Functions

  • Support OT network and ICT automation & process control systems in North American manufacturing plants
  • Contribute to capital projects with electrical, automation, or process control components
  • Assist with data collection systems, I4.0 migrations, OT networking, and cybersecurity initiatives
  • Lead and conduct machine risk assessments; ensure systems meet SISTEMA Level D safety standards
  • Review documentation for new machinery to confirm compliance with internal safety standards
  • Provide technical expertise to assist third-party controls systems support across domestic locations
  • Develop and manage a 5-year IC automation and control systems remediation plan
  • Stay informed of evolving technologies and industry standards
  • Perform other duties as assigned
