What We're Looking ForBarge Design Solutions is seeking a Project Manager in the Federal business unit located in Miamisburg, OH, Atlanta, GA, Peachtree Corners, GA, or Savannah, GA.
Career Area: Client Services
In this role, you will lead multi-discipline design teams responsible for executing projects within our Federal Market sector, including agencies such as DoD, DoE, NASA, VA, DOI, and other federal entities. You will manage projects from inception to completion, ensuring quality, maintaining client relationships, providing leadership, and overseeing project success. Projects may involve design-bid-build, design-build RFP development, or design-build delivery methods.
Periodic travel to project sites may be required; remote work may be considered.
- Act as the primary liaison between clients and project teams, coordinating meetings and project delivery.
- Execute project management procedures and best practices.
- Provide technical guidance and resolve project issues.
- Lead scope, schedule, and budget management.
- Support business development efforts.
- Ensure project excellence and mentor team members.
- Develop and maintain positive relationships with clients, contractors, and stakeholders.
- Meet profitability goals aligned with the company's strategic plan.
- U.S. Citizenship is required.
- Bachelor's degree in Architecture, Mechanical, Electrical, Civil, or Structural Engineering from an accredited program, or equivalent.
- Professional Engineer (PE) or Registered Architect (RA) certification required.
- 10+ years of related experience in multi-discipline design and project management with strong technical credibility.
- Excellent communication skills (oral, written, graphical).
- Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines effectively.
- Strong team-building skills and ability to collaborate across disciplines.
- Experience with Federal agency projects or design-build projects is preferred.
- Relevant certifications such as LEED AP BD+C, PMP are a plus.
