PDG is seeking an experienced Construction Office Engineer or an individual interested in learning Office Engineering duties. Construction Office Engineers support our construction inspection field sites and project work across the state by providing communication, review, and documentation of various processes throughout the project.

• Set up project field offices and document filing systems
• Maintain all project records, paperwork, and filing
• Liaise with State/Local agencies and partnered engineering firms
• Track project correspondence between clients, onsite staff, EICs, contractors, and subcontractors
• Track quantity of work items completed and process progress estimates for contractor payments
• Review inspection staff daily work reports
• Schedule QA/QC material testing and document material acceptances
• Record Progress Meeting minutes
• Review Change Orders and Force Account Work documentation
• Complete Project Closeout

• High level organizational skills
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Advanced attention to detail
• Proficiency with Microsoft Suite and willingness to learn new software
• Experience with AASHTO Site Manager Software is beneficial
• Ability to multi-task

• Degree in Civil Engineering, Civil Engineering Technology, or Construction Management, or
• 3 years of Construction Inspection experience
• Driver’s license and reliable transportation for site travel

The Office Engineer will typically work in a Construction Field Office on the project site, collaborating with engineering management, inspection staff, contractors, and the Project Engineer-in-Charge. Travel is required for certain projects, with some remote work possible based on project demands.
