Structural Design Technician – Jacobs
We are seeking a driven and curious Structural Design Technician to provide leadership and support our Built Environment team. As a key member of our Advanced Manufacturing team, you’ll grow your skills, join a collaborative team, and deliver state‑of‑the‑art structures for well‑known clients worldwide. You will work closely with clients and construction trade partners to develop design concepts, create models from scratch, and coordinate designs to consider existing conditions and other disciplines.
You’ll convey structural requirements to the construction team via 2D paper deliverables and/or BIM 3D Revit models.
$61,100.00 – $84,000.00 per year
LocationUnited States – any location. Ideally, selected candidates will be near a Jacobs U.S. based office.
Responsibilities- Provide leadership for small projects with a team of designers, establishing project standards, procedures, training, and team development.
- Work closely with clients and construction trade partners to develop design concepts, create models from scratch, and coordinate designs across disciplines.
- Convey structural requirements to construction teams via 2D paper deliverables and/or BIM 3D Revit models.
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- At least 5 years drafting/design experience in the structural field.
- At least 1 year of Revit experience.
- At least 3 years AutoCAD design experience.
- At least 2 years of Revit experience.
- Experience working on traditional steel and concrete structures.
- Experience leading a team of designers.
- Experience with healthcare, institutional, commercial buildings.
- Experience with Navisworks and Bluebeam.
