Location:

Onsite In Office (based in Hillsboro, OR).

Contract-to-Hire (6 months).

$40.00-$60.00/hour. This is a long-term career oriented position. Within this role you can move up into different departments and take on more responsibility. Pay raises will be included.

We are working with our client in seeking a Mechanical Estimator to support large-scale capital construction projects. This role involves preparing detailed cost estimates, performing quantity takeoffs, and collaborating with engineers and project teams to ensure accuracy and efficiency.

• Analyze blueprints and prepare detailed cost estimates.
• Perform accurate quantity takeoffs and input data into estimating systems.
• Obtain up-to-date pricing from contractors, suppliers, and databases.
• Collaborate with engineers to clarify project scope.
• Maintain organized project documents and cost data libraries.
• Prepare cost reconciliations and explain variances.
• Assist staff in improving project efficiency.

• Bachelor’s degree in Construction, Quantity Surveying, or related field.
• Minimum 7 years of estimating experience in manufacturing or mechanical/electrical/process piping.
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel and cost estimating systems.
• Strong understanding of MEP, mechanical systems, and quantity surveying.
• Ability to read blueprints and perform detailed takeoffs.
• Familiarity with electronic takeoff tools (e.g., CAD Measure).
• Professional certifications (RICS, CCE, CCM, AACEI, etc.) preferred.

• Experience with piping, cost analysis, and engineering drawings.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Hillsboro, OR.

The pay range for this position is $40.00 – $60.00/hr eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
