Overview
This is a remote position.
Responsibilities- Overall in-charge of engine department and machinery operations
- Ensure safe operation and maintenance of main engine, auxiliaries, and tanker-specific systems (Cargo pumps, IGS, COW, tank cleaning)
- Lead and supervise engine officers and ratings
- Monitor fuel consumption, PMS, and engine performance
- Ensure compliance with ISM, MARPOL, SOLAS, and Company SMS
- Prevent pollution and maintain Oil Record Book
- Coordinate inspections, repairs, and dry-dock activities
- Report to Master and shore technical team
- Chief Engineer COC (STCW III / 2 – Unlimited)
- Valid tanker experience & endorsements
- Minimum tanker experience as 2nd / Chief Engineer
- Good leadership and communication skills
- CDC STCW VALID COP WATCHKEEPING
