The Field Engineer will perform preventative maintenance, installations, troubleshooting, and repairs on our life‑changing medical equipment for the Telemetry and Patient Monitoring modalities within hospitals and healthcare systems in Asheville, NC. The Field Engineer will also support the entire Carolinas Market when necessary.

This role requires the candidate to work onsite at customer locations and occasionally from home office. To provide onsite customer support, the candidate needs to be able to work in the Asheville, NC area.

• Perform timely and accurate preventative maintenance, installations, and troubleshooting on medical equipment within a hospital or healthcare system to ensure optimal delivery of healthcare services to patients.
• Maintain relationships with customers and ensure timely communication, resolution and proper follow‑up to drive customer satisfaction.
• Adhere to company policies, procedures, and hospital protocols to ensure regulatory and compliance requirements are met; ensure documentation of all work performed is captured, including the ordering of parts.

• Associate’s degree, Bachelor’s degree, military education, participant in the formal GE Health Care Biomedical; OR Field Engineer Services Internship, Apprenticeship or Military Externship program; OR High School Diploma/GED with a minimum of 4 years of experience servicing electronic equipment.
• Valid Driver’s License.
• Legal authorization to work in the U.S. is required. We will not sponsor individuals for employment visas, now or in the future, for this job opening.

• Ability to lift, carry, push, and pull up to 35 lbs. unassisted and frequently bend, stoop, twist, climb, crouch or squat, kneel or crawl, sit and stand for long periods of time.
• Must also be able to reach at, above and below shoulder level, flex or extend neck and have good hand and finger dexterity.
• Ability to be available after‑hours and/or work a rotating on‑call schedule, including weekends.
