Overview
Transportation Project Engineer esch is a growing, multi-disciplined planning, engineering, and professional services firm that enhances infrastructure and communities across the country.
Location:
This position offers a flexible hybrid schedule with options to sit in Omaha, NE;
Bellevue, NE;
Lincoln, NE;
Grand Island, NE; or Rapid City, SD.
- Develop detailed designs of urban and rural roadways from preliminary to final design
- Collaborate with team members, communities, and stakeholders to define data needs, project requirements, and outputs
- Compile and coordinate plans, specifications, cost estimates, and pay items
- Support studies and alternative analyses to determine best solutions to meet compliance and client goals
- Work with various disciplines and reviewers to ensure complete, accurate, and high‑quality deliverables
- Contribute to proposal development
- Manage small projects and project tasks and assist Project Managers on larger projects
- Manage and maintain project documentation
- Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering or higher required
- Professional Engineer license or ability to obtain upon hire (preferred)
- Project experience in transportation engineering design (preferred)
- Ability to work and collaborate in a team environment
- Ability to communicate effectively
- Ability to develop task deliverables in a complete and timely manner
- Experience working with Local and State public agency clients (Public Works, DOTs, etc.)
- Proficient in Micro Station Open Roads Designer and/or AutoCAD Civil 3D
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
