Solar Project Manager – Community Solar (REMOTE)
Remote – primarily for candidates in the Mountain or Pacific time zones, with minimal travel (once a month to job sites).
Base Pay Range: $90,000 – $150,000 per year.
About the RoleWe are a national renewable energy provider that develops, finances, builds, and manages distributed generation solar and energy storage projects to make clean energy accessible and affordable for businesses, communities, and organizations. This position requires a dynamic and experienced permanent Solar Project Manager to lead commercial projects from conception to completion, ensuring they are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.
Responsibilities- Manage all aspects of solar projects, including planning, design, construction, commissioning, and operation.
- Develop project schedules, budgets, and resource plans and ensure adherence.
- Coordinate with internal and external stakeholders—engineers, contractors, vendors, and customers—to meet project requirements.
- Conduct site visits to assess feasibility and identify risks and opportunities.
- Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations and standards.
- Monitor progress and report status to senior management.
- Manage project documentation, including contracts, permits, and technical specifications.
- Identify and resolve project issues and conflicts promptly.
- Provide technical support and guidance to project team members.
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or related field.
- 3+ years of experience in solar project management on 1–10 MW sites.
- Strong knowledge of solar technology, construction, and project management principles.
- Excellent communication, leadership, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast‑paced environment.
- Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills.
- Knowledge of health, safety, and environmental regulations and standards.
- Ability to travel to project sites as required.
