About the role, Your Impact

Baxter & Woodman has a rewarding opportunity for a CAD Technician in our Orlando or West Palm Beach, FL offices. This position will be responsible for the design of a variety of projects including public and private civil infrastructure projects. The successful candidate shall be expected to work in a design team setting and efficiently prepare detailed design drawings and submittals.

What

your day‑to‑day will look like

• Produce and edit detailed drawings, site plans, plan & sections, plan & profiles and various civil details based on direction provided by multi‑disciplined design engineers.
• Design of transportation, residential and commercial projects using AutoCAD and Civil 3D, and/or Micro Station/Openroads.
• Prepare detailed design drawings, including plan and processes for multi‑disciplined subsurface utility projects.

Education Requirements

High School diploma or equivalent.

Must‑haves, what you will bring

• 5 or more years of experience in producing detailed civil engineering drawings for public water, wastewater, storm water and roadway infrastructure system projects.
• 3 or more years of experience developing detailed design drawings for Civil/Land Development projects.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD and Civil 3D and/or Micro Station/Openroads.
• Strong analysis and critical thinking skills.
• Excellent technical writing skills.
• Strong written, verbal, computer, and organizational skills.

Compensation

The hourly range for this role is $27.00-$38.00. Actual compensation packages are based on several factors that are unique to each candidate, including but not limited to skill set, depth of experience, and certifications.
