Who You Are:

Versar is seeking a full-time Project Manager (PM) to support a Physical electronic Security Installation project in the Oakland CA area in support of the United States Mashal Service (USMS). The ideal candidate will be self-motivated with the ability to work independently with some oversite. Additionally, the candidate must have experience with the performance and supervision of tasks related to cyber security and electronic security systems (i.e., Access Control, CCTV, Video Management, Intrusion Detection, etc.),

and in managing the performance of projects, including people, schedule, scope, quality control, and budget. Further, the candidate will have experience working with other trades, i.e., construction, IT, and client stakeholders. The PM will be the senior subject matter expert and monitor, control and report status on cost, schedule and performance.

What You’ll Do:

• This position is mainly on a customer site with some availability for remote work; travel may be required around the project schedule.
• Meet or exceed client project execution requirements through effective allocation of resources, and by ensuring high quality work, following budget and schedule parameters.
• Must have experience in managing subcontractors. This includes, but is not limited to, verifying quality of installation and deliverables, evaluating percent complete for subcontracted tasks, evaluating equipment and materials used to ensure compliance with contractual requirements and standards, validating invoices for payment, negotiating costs, and manage scope change.
• Ensure contractual compliance with all installation activities, deliverables, and schedule.
• Manage and document inventory of all equipment and material purchased for the project and/or shipped to the project site for installation.
• Ensure internal project management procedures are followed, including project revenue forecasting and estimate at completion.
• Ensure all projects are carried out safely in accordance with Versar’s safety requirements.
• Meeting and/or reporting weekly to internal and external stakeholder entities.

What You’ll Bring:

• Bachelor’s degree with 3-5 years of verifiable project management experience.
• Proficiency with MS Office programs, including Word, Excel, and Project.
• Minimum of seven (7) years of overall professional experience in the systems administration field with five years of overall experience in Microsoft Windows client and server operating systems.
• Possess certifications or have the capability to obtain certifications in Hirsch, BVMS, and Bosh IDS. With experience with Commend, Aiphone, Inovonics, and networks.
• Prior experience as a project manager for ESS projects with a full understanding of managing clients, financials, vendor relationships, subcontracting, and project level staff.
• Public Trust clearance requirements.
• US Citizenship required.

Preferred Requirements:

• Minimum five (5) years of experience with electronic security systems, specifically hands-on experience in installing, configuring, maintaining, and resolving issues with Intrusion Detection Systems, Access Control Systems and Closed Caption TV, specifically with Identiv.

Compensation

Expected Salary: $100,000 - $120,000 per year
