PROJECT MANAGER
Johnson Brothers Corporation, a Southland Company, headquartered in Grapevine, Texas, seeks a Project Manager to work on projects at unanticipated locations throughout the United States. The role encompasses all aspects of construction projects from initiation to completion, coordinating resources, contractors, and stakeholders to ensure timely, successful project delivery.
RESPONSIBILITIES- Develop and maintain working relationships with owners and their representatives.
- Understand and plan according to work specifications, contract responsibilities, project plans, change orders, shop drawings, and purchase orders.
- Create, update, review, and maintain project budgets.
- Monitor equipment costs and implement strategies to stay within budget.
- Schedule projects in logical steps and budget time required to meet deadlines in Primavera P6 CPM.
- Oversee daily field activities to ensure optimal progression in collaboration with Superintendents.
- Serve as customer liaison.
- Manage change orders, budget schedule, claims, safety, and staff.
- Develop comprehensive project plans.
- Translate project plans into detailed schedules using industry‑standard scheduling software like Primavera P6.
- Review, submit, and track RFIs, submittals, and manage construction‑related delays.
- Master’s degree (or foreign equivalent) in Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering, Construction Management, or a directly related field plus two (2) years of related experience,
* or* Bachelor’s degree (or foreign equivalent) plus five (5) years of progressively responsible, post‑baccalaureate experience. - Minimum two (2) years of experience with:
- Primavera P6 CPM scheduling software.
- Advanced‑level Microsoft Excel (macros, statistical modelling, forecasting, Pivot Tables, VLOOKUP, conditional formatting, sum‑if).
- Micro Station Open Roads Designer.
- Experience with any of the following:
- BIM process.
- AutoCAD, Bluebeam Revu, Revit, Navisworks, and BIM 360.
- Profit/loss analysis for moderate to major projects (> $50 million or multiple smaller projects).
- Industry standards, including specialty bridge design software.
- Willingness to work in a drug‑free environment and agree to a post‑offer drug test.
Relocation to unanticipated locations throughout the United States is required; travel from any particular location is not required.
