Piping Engineer (100% Remote)
Join a team that powers the future of energy. We’re looking for a talented Piping Engineer to play a key role in designing and analyzing piping systems for nuclear power plant projects. What You’ll Do

• Design and review calculations for piping systems that meet rigorous industry standards.
• Perform code qualification calculations using ASME B31.1 and Section III codes for Class 1, 2, and 3 stress qualifications.
• Use advanced tools like ME101 and AutoPIPE for piping analysis; experience with ANSYS or other FEA software is a plus.
• Develop detailed calculations and drawings for pipe hangers, snubbers, spring cans, and linear supports.
• Create specifications for piping, valves, and components.
• Conduct nozzle stress qualifications and contribute to component or vessel design.
• Prepare thorough documentation and communicate effectively across teams.
• Support field engineering and construction activities, including site walkdowns.
• Participate in the nuclear design change process (Standard Design Process).

What You Bring

• Bachelor’s Degree in Civil-Structural or Mechanical Engineering.
• 5+ years of progressive engineering experience with commercial, industrial, or government clients—nuclear experience preferred.
• Strong knowledge of codes and standards: ASME Section III B&PV, B31 series (B31.1 preferred).
• Proficiency in engineering/design software such as AutoPIPE and ME101.
• Hands-on experience in piping analysis: thermal, dynamic, vibration, seismic response spectrum, and Time History.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Consulting engineering or utility experience is a plus.

Additional Skills

• Familiarity with Super Pipe, Laser Scanning, and GTStrudl.
• Deep understanding of Section III Class I, II, and III requirements.
• Prior experience with nuclear power design changes is advantageous.

Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Naperville, IL.

Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $60.00 – $95.00/hr eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job
classification and length of employment. Benefits are subject to change and may be
