Sr Engineer 3- LEAP HPC Mechanical Design
GE Aerospace is seeking a senior engineer to join the LEAP Life Cycle Engineering (LCE) High Pressure Compressor (HPC) Design team. This role focuses on the technical improvement of existing products and components, contributing to design and development of advanced aerospace technologies at our West Chester, Ohio facility.

Roles and Responsibilities- Execute the design, analysis, or evaluation of assigned projects using sound engineering principles and adhering to business standards, practices, procedures, and product / program requirements for rotating parts.
- Develop specialized knowledge in your discipline and serve as a best practice/quality resource. Contribute towards strategy and policy development and ensure delivery within responsibility area.
- Maintain in-depth knowledge of best practices and how own area integrates with others; have working knowledge of competition and market differentiators.
- Use judgment to make decisions or solve moderately complex tasks in areas of operational/product management, manufacturing, technology or engineering.
- Act as a resource for colleagues with less experience; may lead small projects with moderate risks and resource requirements, building consensus and developing persuasion skills.
- Bachelor's degree in engineering from an accredited university or college.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in Design Engineering.
- Ability to work on site; remote work cannot be supported.
- Legal authorization to work in the U.S. is required. No visa sponsorship.
- Strong rotor and/or airfoil design (HPC preferred) experience.
- MRB certification or DR substantiation experience preferred.
- Strong oral and written communication skills.
- Previous team lead experience preferred.
- Strong interpersonal and leadership skills.
- Demonstrated ability to analyze and resolve problems.
- Demonstrated ability to lead programs / projects.
- Ability to document, plan, market, and execute programs.
- Established project management skills.
