  • Ensure systems are built and operating according to design specifications.
  • Diagnose and resolve mechanical, hydraulic, and basic controls‑related issues during startup.
  • Select pumps, valves, blowers, piping, and control components appropriate for each project.
  • Develop technical drawings, diagrams, and documentation.
  • Review project plans, specifications, and submittals.
  • Collaborate with vendors, manufacturing partners, and internal teams to ensure accurate and timely production and delivery of system components.
  • Assist with procurement and equipment ordering.
  • Provide technical expertise to support sales on complex or custom projects.
  • Visit customer sites (approximately once per month, typically Monday‑Thursday) to oversee installation and system startup.
  • Train operators on system use and maintenance.
  • Document field issues, resolutions, and recommendations for continuous improvement.
Qualifications
  • 4+ years as a Project Engineer or Field Engineer with water filtration or process equipment experience required
  • Travel to customer sites 1x per month across US, typically Mon‑Thurs, all expenses paid with high‑quality accommodations
  • BS in Mechanical, Civil, Environmental Engineering or similar is required
  • Proficiency with AutoCAD, Solid Works, Microsoft Office, and PDF editing tools.
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and willingness to work hands‑on in the field.

  • Basic understanding of sensors, controls, and PLC concepts is beneficial.
What Success Looks Like
  • Ability to independently lead assigned portions of the project lifecycle.
  • Effective mentorship of junior engineers.
  • Strong cross‑functional collaboration with vendors, internal engineering, manufacturing, and project coordination teams.
  • Smooth project execution, troubleshooting, and customer interaction.

  • 401(k) with 3% employer contribution
