Job Description
Hiring a Mechanical Designer/Drafter for a 3+ month REMOTE Project. Industry: Medical Device Manufacturing (Class 3 Medical Device). Work setting: 1 week of paid training onsite in Miami, FL then 100% remote work from home! Pay: $40‑45/hr.
Responsibilities- Transfer legacy and vendor drawings into standardized formats using Solid Works.
- Edit and convert mechanical drawings to meet internal documentation standards and regulatory requirements.
- Maintain and update Bills of Materials (BOMs) associated with mechanical designs.
- Ensure drawing accuracy, completeness, and compliance with FDA and applicable standards.
- Collaborate with engineering, quality, and manufacturing teams to resolve documentation issues and support product development.
- Participate in drawing reviews, change control processes, and document audits.
- Support the integration of drawings into Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) and Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems.
- 3+ years of professional experience in a regulated manufacturing environment, preferably medical devices.
- Advanced proficiency in Solid Works, including drawing creation and conversion.
- Strong understanding of BOM structures, revision control, and document versioning.
- Familiarity with quality systems, design controls, and regulatory documentation.
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple documentation tasks simultaneously.
- Some knowledge with medical device documentation and drawing transfers.
- Knowledge of DMR drawings.
The position offers an opportunity to support a high‑tier medical device supplier with Class 3 Device drawings and documentation. The work environment includes one week onsite, followed by the remainder of the assignment being 100% remote.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $40.00–$45.00/hr eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
