Job Title:
Remote Technical Writer
We are seeking a highly motivated Technical Writer with a strong background in developing clear, concise, and structured documentation for complex technology-based systems. You will work closely with the ILS team on complex projects to produce documentation, user manuals, operations and maintenance manuals, and quick reference guides.
Responsibilities- Develop clear and concise documentation for complex technology-based systems.
- Collaborate with the ILS team to produce various manuals and quick reference guides.
- Ensure all documents are structured and adhere to regulatory standards.
- Utilize template design software to create and manage document templates.
- Bachelor’s degree in writing, information design, or communication
- Proficiency in technical writing and document control.
- Experience with template design software, including MS Word, PDF files, and Arbortext.
- Understanding of Military/DOD standards and structured documents.
- Experience in writing user guides, regulatory documents, and HTML templates.
Skills & Qualifications
- Familiarity with DoD, Aerospace, or FAA programs.
- Experience with Mad Cap Flare.

This is a Contract position based out of Norfolk, VA.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $40.00 – $50.00/hr eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
