Dextra is the world leader in rebar splicing technologies and the only manufacturer globally certified under both ISO 19443 and ASME QSC nuclear quality assurance standards. With a 40% market share over the past 20 years, Dextra is the uncontested leader in supplying mechanical splices for Nuclear Power Plants across the globe.
As the North American market is entering a new phase of developing, designing and building nuclear facilities (both large NPP and SMRs), Dextra is looking for its Regional Nuclear Market leader to understand the whole landscape of upcoming nuclear projects in the USA and Canada, influence codes, standards and design specifications to include Dextra’s value proposition and ultimately replicate the success Dextra has in supplying the nuclear industry elsewhere by generating sales of our products.
As the face of Dextra’s nuclear and energy business in North America, this role combines strategic business development, presales engagement, and industry influence to drive adoption of Dextra’s technologies across the growing U.S. and Canadian nuclear infrastructure sectors.
Responsibilities- Market Intelligence and Business Development:
Map out all the upcoming nuclear projects in North America and their actual timelines; map out the rebar industry in North America; monitor competitors, their strengths and weaknesses, strategies and developments; identify key players at owner, design and construction levels; establish, penetrate and maintain a list of key accounts in the industry; plan and participate in related trade shows and industry events;
ensure relevant parties and key accounts understand Dextra’s value proposition; coordinate with the Marketing Dept at Headquarters to publish news aimed at developing Dextra’s corporate image. - Technical Standards and Specifications:
Know and understand the current status of design standards and codes for nuclear facility design in North America; coordinate with internal teams and local consultants on FRP products to influence standards to benefit Dextra’s products; recommend Dextra’s products to relevant nuclear structural design engineers to influence project specifications; gather feedback on potential improvements and new product developments to ensure our products are adapted to the market. - Sales:
Obtain RFPs from clients for nuclear projects where Dextra’s value proposition can be sold; prepare technical and sales proposals; follow up and maximize strike rate on projects, focusing on high value, high margin opportunities. - Forecasting and Budgeting:
Lead periodic medium- and long-term sales forecasts and business plans for the nuclear market segment in North America. - Other duties:
You may be assigned additional duties as needed or opportunistic.
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in civil engineering.
- At least 5 years of experience in structural engineering.
- Experience in a business development role is a plus.
- Prior exposure to nuclear codes and/or participation in nuclear or oil & gas infrastructure projects.
- Language skills: full proficiency in English required; a secondary language is a plus.
- IT skills:
Microsoft Office, CRM systems. - Other technical skills: in-depth knowledge of the nuclear industry; knowledge of current nuclear design codes for North America.
