We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Engineering Operations Director (Project Engineer) to join our growing team. In this role, we are looking for an engineer with experience in mechanical, automotive, maritime, and industrial engineering. You will serve as a critical liaison, developing and presenting customer‑specific solutions between our clients and a global multi‑disciplinary team. This role is designed for a technically adept professional with a passion for facilitating seamless project execution, taking ownership of customer interactions, ensuring smooth communication, and overseeing project delivery in collaboration with the global team.
Key Responsibilities:Act as the primary liaison between client and global multi‑disciplinary team to ensure project objectives are met.
- Responsible for the development of clients’ projects. Review drawings, interpret client quotations (RFQs), and translate requirements into actionable project plans.
- Maintain ongoing communication with clients and multi‑disciplinary teams to clarify scope, identify all applicable specifications, update project progress, address concerns, and manage expectations.
- Collaborate with clients and suppliers to negotiate design specifications, requirements, and cost estimates.
- Optimize manufacturing processes by balancing cost efficiency versus production quantity.
- Evaluate and suggest enhancements to working methods, process manuals, and operational instructions.
- Leverage your engineering background to improve concept solutions and aid in finalizing the design of new equipment, or redesigning existing systems, to align with clients’ specifications. Solve problems and take corrective actions with any unusual requirements.
- Oversee technical reviews, implement corrective actions, and conduct thorough analyses to enhance processes and outcomes.
- Oversee project timelines, deliverables, and quality, ensuring they align with contractual agreements.
- Work closely with sales teams to ensure a smooth handoff of projects post‑sale.
- Develop and maintain strong working relationships with both clients and multi‑disciplinary teams, fostering collaboration and trust.
- Provide proactive leadership in navigating complex projects and delivering exceptional results.
- Prior experience working with offshore teams is a plus.
- Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering, automotive engineering, or related field.
- 6 to 10 years of experience in automotive, mechanical, maritime, or industrial engineering.
- Solid understanding of Solid Works or other 3D software systems, AutoCAD, and application engineering.
- Knowledge of pricing analysis, cost engineering, GD&T, and statistical tolerancing.
- Ability to build and maintain client relationships and identify business opportunities.
- Proven ability to manage and collaborate with multi‑disciplinary teams.
- Exceptional communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
- Demonstrated experience in developing client‑specific solutions or serving in a client‑facing technical role.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Leadership qualities with a drive for taking initiative and solving challenges.

This is a remote position. Salary Range - $90,000 to $110,000 annually.
