Job Title:
Licensed Geologist - Remediation Projects
We are seeking an experienced and licensed Geologist to join our team and lead our remediation projects. The ideal candidate will have over 10 years of hands‑on experience in environmental remediation and possess a Professional Geologist (PG) license. This role involves managing and executing complex remediation projects, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements, and providing expert geological insights to support environmental restoration efforts.
The candidate can work remotely but will drive to Topeka, KS a couple times a month for team meetings.
- Lead and manage environmental remediation projects from inception to completion.
- Conduct site assessments, including soil, groundwater, and sediment sampling.
- Develop and implement remediation strategies and action plans.
- Analyze geological data and prepare detailed reports.
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local environmental regulations.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including engineers, scientists, and regulatory agencies.
- Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior geologists and project staff.
- Communicate project progress and findings to stakeholders, including clients and regulatory bodies.
Skills & Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Geology, Environmental Science, or a related field (Master's degree preferred).
- Professional Geologist (PG) license is required.
- 10+ years of experience in environmental remediation projects.
- Strong knowledge of federal and state environmental regulations.
- Proficiency in geological software and data analysis tools.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong problem‑solving skills and attention to detail.
This position offers a flexible work environment, allowing for work from home with occasional in‑office meetings once or twice a month. You will be working with a diverse portfolio of projects and clients, including both private and state entities. Our tight‑knit team values community engagement and collaboration.
