Engineer IV; Electrical - Sustainability

We are seeking an experienced Electrical Engineer IV
- Sustainability to support district wide capital construction, modernization, and sustainability projects under the Build

LACCD Bond Program.

* Salary Range: $140K/Year-$150K/Year - Dependent on Candidate's Qualifications

Hybrid

Schedule:

One (1) work-from-home (WFH) day per week

• Lead and support sustainability-focused electrical engineering projects under LACCD’s Bond Program
• Support electrification of central plants and building systems aligned with the District’s Clean Energy Resolution
• Apply sustainable building principles to resolve complex, system-level electrical issues
• Support district wide initiatives including energy master planning, carbon reduction, grid resiliency, and electrification
• Perform electrical engineering analysis and prepare technical reports supporting District design guidelines
• Ensure integration of advanced systems such as LED lighting, PV, BESS, EV charging, microgrids, and smart controls
• Coordinate with Project Managers and multidisciplinary teams to meet project requirements and schedules
• Provide technical review and peer support for RFCs, change orders, and other project documentation
• Participate in all phases of capital projects, from planning and design through construction and closeout
• Attend project and construction meetings at various sites as required

Required

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering
• 10+ years of professional electrical engineering experience in design, construction, or facilities infrastructure projects
• Strong knowledge of California Energy Codes, Title 24, NEC, CALGreen (CCR Part 11), and applicable electrical engineering standards

Preferred

• Experience with educational facility construction
• Experience and/or certification with LEED and/or CHPS projects
• California Professional Engineer (PE) license in Electrical Engineering
