Enlight Renewable Energy is looking for a Project Development Manager to lead the development of wind, solar, and battery energy storage (BESS) projects across Romania, Poland, or Germany
.
This role offers the opportunity to take full ownership of renewable energy projects throughout the development lifecycle, working closely with both internal teams and external partners in a dynamic, international environment.
Responsibilities- Lead all development-related activities for greenfield, mid-stage, and mature wind, solar, and BESS projects, from early development through Ready-To-Build (RTB), in cooperation with internal stakeholders and external developers.
- Prepare and manage project schedules and budgets, ensuring timely execution of all project phases in coordination with relevant company departments.
- Coordinate with external developers, authorities, institutions, and advisors to obtain all required permits, licenses, and administrative approvals up to RTB stage.
- Identify, analyze, and mitigate project-related risks (financial, legal, technical, environmental).
- Build and maintain strong relationships with internal teams and external stakeholders.
- Continuously improve project development and management processes, and support technical and financial optimizations in ongoing projects, in collaboration with cross-functional teams.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in renewable energy project development.
- University degree in a relevant technical field (Energy Engineering, Civil Engineering, Renewable Energy, or similar).
- Strong understanding of the end-to-end renewable energy project development process.
- Proven ability to independently manage projects, including documentation, schedules, and budgets.
- Knowledge of energy regulation, administrative procedures, and grid connection processes.
- Excellent communication skills, strong teamwork capabilities, and ability to build long-term professional relationships.
- Previous experience in an international organization or with a large energy developer is an advantage.
- High level of proficiency in English (written and spoken).
- Willingness to travel for business purposes and possession of a valid Category B driving license
.
