Our Nuclear Programs is a Tier 1 service provider to the U.S. Department of Energy and commercial nuclear companies. We deliver safe and innovative solutions at complex nuclear cleanup, production and power generation sites, encompassing engineering, construction management, consulting, program management, decommissioning, environmental remediation, waste and nuclear material management, and nuclear operations.

We are seeking a Senior Structural Engineer (licensed SE) in Oak Ridge, TN, to lead design teams, develop analysis using FEA techniques, create drawings, and produce specifications for steel, concrete and masonry structures with a focus on seismic design.

The base salary range for this position is $102,900 to $149,086. The range reflects the minimum and maximum target for new‑hire salaries across all U.S. locations; for remote positions the salary is geographic‑dependent.

• Must have a licensed SE.
• Ability to obtain DOE Q clearance.
• B.S. in Structural/Civil Engineering from an ABET‑accredited institution.
• 10+ years of post‑education experience.
• Perform Engineer of Record duties as assigned.
• Design and fully document structural systems.
• Interface directly with client counterparts, virtually and on‑site.
• Integrate with other design disciplines and project functions (Mechanical, Electrical, Architecture, Civil, Document Control, Project Controls, etc.).
• Estimate, schedule, and track project schedule and cost performance.
• Knowledge of DOE, NRC, and nuclear standards (DOE‑1020, NRC regulatory framework, etc.).
• Understand soil‑structure interaction and probabilistic seismic hazard analysis in structural design.
• Expertise in steel, concrete and masonry design with emphasis on seismic design.
• Expertise in applying national codes (IBC, AISC, ACI, ASCE 7).
• Follow and implement quality procedures, ensuring procedural compliance.
• Experience with in an NQA‑1 quality program.
• Expertise in finite element software such as STAAD.pro (or equivalent).
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Teams, Outlook, Project, Word, Excel, etc.).
• Expertise in MathCAD (or equivalent).
• Reside within commutable distance from Oak Ridge, TN office.

• Competent using Revit, AutoCAD, or Micro Station.
• DOE Q clearance.
• DOE experience.
• Field experience as Resident Engineer, Field Engineer or Quality Control Engineer.

Preferred full‑time work at the Oak Ridge, TN office; remote/hybrid options available. For those within 50 miles of the Oak Ridge or Denver, CO offices, hybrid requires office presence at least 2 days per week. Outside 50 miles, remote with some travel to Oak Ridge is available. Remote or hybrid work requires a secured location approved by the company.

Intermittent sitting, walking, standing, bending, squatting, climbing, kneeling, twisting, and lifting. Lifting limited to 20 lb. supplies or drawings. Longest carried distance 50 ft. Hand manipulation required for simple grasping, pushing, pulling, and fine manipulation.

Occasional need to reach or work above the shoulder, walk on uneven ground, and work near construction equipment. Exposure to dust, gas or fumes, noise, extreme temperatures or humidity, and potential work at heights.
