In this role, you will serve as a direct aide to the Traffic Studies Supervisor, focusing on the execution and evaluation of various engineering recommendations derived from comprehensive traffic studies. Your responsibilities will include:
- Analyzing factors related to speed limits, the implementation of multi-way stops, and the enforcement of turn and truck restrictions.
- Establishing one-way and two-way street configurations.
- Conducting studies on passing zones and truck climbing lanes.
- Assessing intersection and stopping sight distances.
- Identifying hazardous walking routes and performing mid‑block cross‑walk studies.
- Carrying out other investigations aimed at enhancing operational safety.

Work Schedule and Additional Information- Full‑time employment
- Work hours are 7:00 AM to 3:00 PM, Monday‑Friday, with a 30‑minute lunch.
- Telework:
You may have the opportunity to work from home part‑time, up to 5 days per pay period, provided you have a secure high‑speed internet connection and an approved Pennsylvania location. If teleworking is not possible, you have the option to report to the headquarters office in King of Prussia. Telework availability may change. - Salary:

- Successful completion of the Civil Engineer Trainee training program (Commonwealth job title or equivalent Federal Government job title), or
- Four years of civil engineering experience in the appropriate specialty, an engineer‑in‑training certificate issued by or acceptable to the Pennsylvania State Registration Board for Professional Engineers, Land Surveyors and Geologists, and an associate’s degree in civil engineering technology or a closely related discipline, or
- Five years of civil engineering experience in the appropriate specialty and an Engineer‑in‑Training certificate issued by or acceptable to the Pennsylvania State Registration Board, or
- One year of civil engineering experience in the appropriate specialty and a bachelor’s degree in civil engineering or a closely related discipline.
- This position requires possession of a valid driver’s license.
- PA residency requirement is currently waived for this title.
- You must be able to perform essential job functions.
