HVAC Engineer

Position: HVAC PE Engineer (Fully Remote, local candidate required).

$95,000 – $120,000 per year.

Rockford, IL (Remote work available; local residence required).

• Design, develop, and engineer high-quality HVAC and MEP models.
• Utilize AutoCAD to draft and simulate HVAC systems.
• Carry out heating and cooling loads for various structures using industry software.
• Conduct HVAC system conceptual design including equipment selection and system sizing.
• Prepare technical specifications and drawings for tender and construction.
• Collaborate with architects and other engineers to integrate HVAC systems into building design.
• Monitor installation, testing, and commissioning of HVAC systems.
• Ensure all HVAC systems comply with safety regulations and sustainable design principles.
• Provide troubleshooting and repair support for existing HVAC installations.
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of the latest HVAC techniques and industry trends.

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in HVAC design and project management.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD and MEP systems.
• Strong knowledge of HVAC system design and engineering.
• Excellent problem‑solving abilities with experience handling complex projects.
• Proven ability to work effectively within a team and independently.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills, able to convey technical details to non‑technical audiences.
• Familiarity with industry standard equipment and technical expertise.
• In-depth understanding of health and safety regulations.
• Certified HVAC Engineer (PE or equivalent) is preferred.
