Civil Engineering Analyst | Natural Gas Pipeline Design
Kimley-Horn is looking for engineering graduates to join our Alpharetta, Georgia (GA) office in 2026. This is not a remote position.
OverviewKimley-Horn invites engineering graduates to commence their careers in our Alpharetta office in 2026, providing a focused, onsite experience rather than remote work.
Responsibilities- Develop horizontal directional drill designs, distribution & transmission pipeline sketches, regulator station layouts, DOT relocation plans, and more.
- Use technical software daily to analyze, produce, and QC deliverables for clients.
- Participate in pre‑construction civil engineering design, planning, modification, permitting, and analysis across multiple projects of varying size and scope.
- Address complex problems, support project managers, and collaborate across disciplines to realize clients’ future built‑environment visions.
- Acquire familiarity with federal, state, and local regulations, as well as Kimley‑Horn’s and clients’ practices, procedures, and standards.
- Learn one or more discipline‑specific software applications, such as AutoCAD, Civil 3D, Excel, Microstation, VISSIM, Open Roads, Synchro, and GIS.
- ABET‑accredited engineering degree (Bachelor’s or Master’s) by Summer 2025 in one of the following majors:
- Civil and/or Environmental Engineering
- Mechanical, Electrical, Biological, Biosystems, Chemical, or Agricultural Engineering
- Engineering Technology
